CUBOT Configurator is a core module that helps a business analyst configure:
Metadata including measures and dimensions.
Org structure and access - users, groups, roles, access matrix.
Metadata provides a semantic layer over the data warehouse for the business users to understand the Business Intelligence system in business terms rather than tables and column names.
Configurator also provides a facility to input the organizational structure with access rights. The user interface is designed to be used by Business Analysts rather than IT specialists, this gives the ownership of metadata, org structure and access rights to the business. It also helps to remove ambiguities of translating business requirements to technical designs.
