OLAP
Technology - OLAP
OLAP centers on aggregates, which in CUBOT are created through navigation in the front end. An aggregate is then maintained till a usage based algorithm decides that this aggregate is no longer needed. This eliminates guessing by administrators as to which of the aggregates are important and what the hierarchies are for a drill down.

CUBOT OLAP automates this complex and often time consuming process. CUBOT OLAP is refreshed by a regeneration process which evaluates and recalculates appropriate aggregates. With CUBOT OLAP there is no need for physical cube creation and distribution. CUBOT OLAP, along with access matrix security, provides logical cubes automatically, eliminating IT resources, skills and time to design and administer this process.
Features
  • Dynamic, logical cubes. Single metadata and dynamic cubes for advanced analytics and drill-downs without enforcing predefined hierarchies.
  • ROLAP architecture. ROLAP architecture allows scalability, redundancy and fail-over. It is easy to maintain, upgrade and is database independent.
  • Data protection.  Data protected by user rights at cell level.
  • Flexible. Add new data sources to OLAP easily using the fully graphical CUBOT Designer. OLAP data is created and maintained automatically.
  • Check and click. Simply check and click in the user interface to create OLAP. No programming or query writing skills are required.

Benefits
  • High Performance. Allows generation reports and analyze information faster and more accurately as compared to generic MIS software, spreadsheets or other reporting solutions.
  • Scalable. ROLAP structure of CUBOT OLAP is highly scalable while easy to maintain.
  • Secure. Information is revealed to users based on their rights set by the administrator. Data is protected at cell level.
  • Extendable. Easily extendable to include additional data sources or new data within an existing data structure without the need to re-deploy.
